st. francis xavier altar society minutes november 6, 2025

The Altar Society meets the first Thursday of the month in the Parish Hall, September – May.

All parishioners are welcome.

The meeting was opened by Arlene with a prayer.

Altar society pictures were taken by Ben Busam. We wish to thank Ben and Amanda Busam for taking the time to make this happen.

A donation from the Altar Society in the amount of $500.00 was given to the St. Francis foodshelf.

Thank you to our hostesses Julie Kaluza and Carolyn Sweeney. Janet LeBard provided the raffle prize that was won by Ann Melcher and Lori Frink.

December meeting will be our Christmas party. We will try to start with a noon mass. Lunch provided by Erbert and Gerbert. BINGO will be called by Angel. BINGO prizes and raffle prizes will be brought by all who want to participate. Two $2.00 gifts and one $5.00 gift. Grand prize will be afghan made by Joy Driessen.

Discussed the St. Francis antiquated website and the need to update. It needs to be user friendly. Ernie will check on options.

Cookie stroll sign up sheets filled out. An added discussion was had about bringing plates of a few Christmas cookies to Altar Society members no longer able to participate.

Arlene went through the Altar Society by-laws and discovered that ALL members of St. Francis Parish are welcome to join.

Christmas gifts for Father Jim and Parish staff was discussed.

The meeting was closed with a prayer and lunch was enjoyed.
