Rather, we ask you to support the Altar Society with your prayers and a financial gift, as if participating in an actual bake sale. During the month of May, we will accept donations which can be placed in the collection box in the gathering space of the church, drop it in the mail slot at the entrance to the parish office or mail it to the parish office at 2316 E. 4th Street. The Altar Society contributes financially to the many needs of the parish. We thank you for your support. Also, the Altar Society is hoping to have a “THIS N’ THAT” SALE in late August or second week of September. Please place your “treasures” aside for this sale. POPE URGES CATHOLICS TO PRAY IN MAY FOR END TO COVID-A9 PANDEMIC

Pope Francis invites Catholics and Marian Shrines around the world

to dedicate the month of May to a marathon or prayer for an end

to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The initiative, behind which the Pope has thrown his support,

Involves 30 Marion Shrines from various parts of the world.

It takes place under the theme “The whole Church was fervently

praying to God,” which recalls a verse in the Book of Acts (12:5).

After more than a year, and with the world in the grips of the

pandemic, the Pope and the Church around the world are once again

leading the way in imploring God for an end to the suffering which

so many people are forced to bear.
