St. Francis Annual Roast Beef Dinner

Sunday, March 24, 11 AM – 4 PM

Tickets, which can be purchased at the door, have been mailed to all registered parishioners. There are sign-up sheets in the gathering space of the church.  Please consider volunteering in one or more of the various opportunities.  Also, there is a sign-up sheet to being homemade desserts which are always so popular! Dinner guests are welcome to bring a non-perishable food item for the St. Francis Food Shelf.  Those who bring an item will be entered to win a Super One Gift Card (one entry per family). We look forward to seeing you there! For more info call Donna at 920-242-2353.  If you would like your dinner delivered, please call the parish office by Wednesday, March 20th.  Deliveries will be made beginning at 11:30 AM.


LENTEN ADORATION DAY – SUNDAY, MARCH 10TH – 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Please note the sign-up sheet for the Adoration Day.  The Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament concludes at 3:00 PM with evening prayer and Benediction followed by a soup and sandwich supper.  Plan to join us!

CONFESSIONS:  SPECIAL TIME:    SATURDAY, MARCH 16TH , 11 AM-NOON.

PRIEST ASSEMBLY – MARCH 17-18-19 We welcome Bishop Powers and all the priests of our diocese to our upper church and parish hall.  Special thanks to the Altar Society for preparing and serving during this event. The event will conclude on Tuesday March 19th with the Chrism Mass at noon at the Cathedral of Christ the King.  You will note there is an INVITATION TO THE MASS OF CHRISM on the bulletin board in the gathering space.  Following the Mass there is a luncheon served in Kress Hall.  If you wish to attend the Mass and the luncheon, please call Mary Margaret by MONDAY, MARCH 11 at the parish office so she can order a ticket for you.  The parish is paying for anyone who wishes to attend the luncheon.


UPDATE ON ALTAR SOCIETY RECENT SALAD BAR LUNCHEON Thank you to all who donated salads, desserts, those who set-up, served and cleaned up!  We have wonderful volunteers!  Thank you, too, all who attended!   CONGRATULATIONS! to our prize winners:  Margaret Braun, Jen Saari, Linda Egan, Janet Haack, Amber VanOvermeiren, Diane Peterson, Des Currie, Liz Martinson, Joe Holly, Kathy Dahlin, Sandy McDonald, Annie Laible, Debbie Burkhart, Rita Kurtz, Debra Franckowiak, Ron Dembroski, Missy Mascurenas and Paulette White.  Proceeds from the event totaled $4,128.00 which included the raffle sales.  The profit from the raffle was donated to the parish for heating costs. ($1,434.00)

EASTER FLOWERS Included in your bulletin you will find an envelope for Easter Flowers.  A donation of $10 or more will allow us to purchase flowers in memory of your loved one(s).  Please include the name of those you are remembering.  Flower donations should be received no later than MARCH 22ND. 


LENTEN MUSIC During the Season of Lent we will be singing the Holy Holy (Sanctus) and the Lamb of God (Agnus Dei) in Latin.  The music is found in the Gather Book:  Sanctus, #308-B and the Agnus Dei, #313-B.  Other sung parts of the Liturgy will be taken from the German Mass in the hymnal.   Thank you.


CATHEDRAL SCHOOL NEWS   Cathedral School Registration for the 2024/2025 school year began on February 1st, for Preschool through 8th grade.  We offer 3K and 4K Preschool Programs which are half day or full day.  For more information, please contact us at 715-392-2976 to schedule a tour.


KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL 499 in Superior is offering post-secondary scholarship to all Superior High School and Northwestern High School seniors.  There will be $500 scholarship given to one student in each high school.  The application forms are available on the table in the gathering space of our church.  The deadline to apply is April 28, 2024.


ST. ANTHONY PARISH, SUPERIOR holds Lenten Fish Fries on Fridays during Lent, 4-6:30 PM.  Fried or baked fish, mashed or baked potato, coleslaw, vegetable, pickled beets, roll, dessert, and beverage.  Take-outs are available.  Cost is $13 for adults; $6 for students and preschoolers eat free.  Parish is handicapped accessible.  Local deliveries are available by calling 715-398-3261, Monday through Thursday.
