ALTAR SOCIETY INFORMATION The St. Francis Altar Society would like to give you overview of what the Altar Society does to help our beautiful church throughout the year, especially with the heating costs. Our intent is to ensure that the society can remain an important part of our parish. This can only happen if we are able to increase our membership. Please watch upcoming bulletins for further information on how the society hopes to welcome new members.
PASTORAL LETTER Bishop Powers has written a pastoral letter on Evangelization entitled, “As the Father has sent me, So I Send You.” Registered members should have received the Bishop’s letter through the mail at home. There are additional copies of the beautiful letter the table in the back of church. Please read and pray about the Bishop’s words.
JOIN OUR TEAM Cathedral School has the following teaching positions available for the 2023/2024 school year: Middle School Math, Middle School Social Studies, K- 8th Grade Music, K-8th Grade Physical Education and Preschool. The school also has the following positions available for the next school year: School Aide and Hot Lunch. Ideal candidates for the teaching positions should be self-motivated, faith-filled. Interested candidates should be knowledgeable in instructional beat practices and able to differentiate instruction to meet a variety of learning styles. Special August Events
ANNUAL ICE CREAM SOCIAL is planned for Saturday, August 12th following the 4:00 Mass. This is also our opportunity to celebrate Fr. Jim’s birthday which is August 15th! Please plan to join us for a variety of ice cream sundaes, birthday cake, and the opportunity to gather with our parish family. There Is no charge. Plan to join us.
ANNUAL PARISH PICNIC is scheduled for Sunday, August 20th following our 10:30 Mass. Our parish will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, brats, chips, and beverages. Those attending are asking to bring a dish to pass (salad, dessert, etc.) Special thanks to Ernie Harker, our official parish chef and his assistant, Angie, for preparing this fun event for us. There is no charge. All are welcome!

MINISTRY SCHEDULE for the months of September, October & November is being planned. New volunteers are always needed as readers, servers, candle bearers, communion ministers and ushers.
