A note from our pastor…

I would like to offer my sincere thanks to you for your generosity to me during the Christmas Season. I appreciate your many cards, gifts and wonderful treats.

As we celebrate the New Year, I am filled with great hope.

My prayers are with you for a Happy, Healthy 2019!

Please note: The parish office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday. Regular Office hours will resume on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. In case of an emergency please call 715-398-7174.

OUR OLD CHRISTMAS TREE This year we have new Christmas Trees in the sanctuary. So we are offering our old Christmas tree (14 feet) to a good home. If you would like the tree and are willing to come to the church to take it away, please call the parish office – 715-398-7174.

CHARITABLE GIVING REMINDER Any contributions that you would like to have applied in the year 2018 must be postmarked or dropped at the parish no later than December 31, 2018. All contributions received after this date will be applied to the year 2019.

ST. FRANCIS ALTAR SOCIETY will meet on Thursday, January 3rd at 1:00 PM in the Garden Room. All ladies of the parish are welcome! Hostesses for the afternoon will be Barbara Bronson and Kay Moore.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION INFORMATION

Classes resume on Wednesday, January 2nd for Grades 6-8 and 9-11.

Classes resume on Sunday, January 6th for Grades K-5.

ADULT FORMATION A new video series of the Gospel of Matthew will begin on Tuesday, January 8th at 9:30 AM and 7:00 PM – both sessions in the Garden Room.

CATHEDRAL SCHOOL NEWS There are currently openings for preschool part time aides and substitute teachers. Please send resumes and cover letter to Jaime Samarziya, 1419 Baxter Avenue, Superior, WI. 54880 or email to j.samarziya@superiorcathedralschool.org. Please remember to save all General Mills boxtops, Milk Moola, plastic covers from milk jugs of all sizes. orange juice, juice drinks, ice cream and tops of plastic milk bags. We also collect Coke Rewards, aluminum cans and Loaves for Learning. There is a container in the gathering space of our church for your donations.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CUNCIL 499 hold its regular business meeting on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at St. Anthony Parish at 4315 E. 3rd Street in Allouez. The evening will begin with the Rosary at 6:30 PM followed by the meeting at 7:00 PM.

DIVORCE CARE CLASS will begin on January 22, 2019, 6:30 PM in Cathedral’s Kress Hall, Room 6. The class is for people who are currently going through a divorce or those who have been through a divorce. To register call the Cathedral parish office at 715-392-8511 with your name and telephone number. Confidentiality is respected. For questions please call Jim Ronchak, class leader, at 715-394-4822.
