ITEMS OF IMPORTANCE

BAKED FROM THE HEART a bake sale & prize raffle fundraiser for the Dwane & Sandi Anderson Family will be held on Sunday, August 28th 10 AM – 1 PM. All items should be ready to sell. Please put in disposable containers and have them covered. Whole cakes, whole pies, loaves of bread, bars and cookies by the dozen). Please no items that required refrigeration prior to the sale. If baked goods contain nuts, please note that. Do not pre-cut whole cakes, pies, or breads – we will sell whole. Drop off baked goods Friday, 8/26, between 8 AM & 3 PM to the parish office or Saturday, 8/27 between 9 AM – 11 AM OR Sunday, 8/28, before 9 M Mass to the parish hall. Questions? +Masses are offered every Wednesday at 11:15 at St. Mary’s Hospital Chapel. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mass with Fr. Jim or Fr. Joji.


ITEMS OF IMPORTANCE

“THIS N’ THAT” SALE” SEPTEMBER 9-10 FROM 8 AM TO 2 PM. Items (excluding clothing, towels, bedding, and furniture) may be brought to the parish hall before Mass on September 3rd & 4th. We will also accept items September 6th, 7th & 8th from 9 AM – 4 PM. Please use the 4th Street entrance. If you would like to help set up, please feel free to come to the parish hall between 9 AM – 4 PM on September 6th, 7th & 8th. Please call Paulette at 715-399-8564 if you would like to volunteer to pack up or haul items away after the sale on September 10th at 2 PM.


ST. FRANCIS ALTAR SOCIETY will meet on Thursday, September 1st at 1 PM in the Garden Room. Hostesses for the afternoon will be Gerri Anderson and Jean Hennessy. All ladies of the parish are WELCOME!!


MINISTRY SCHEDULE OCTOBER & NOVEMBER is in the process of being completed. We are always in need of CANDLE BEARERS, READERS, SERVERS, COMMUNION MINISTERS & USHERS. Please consider serving the St. Francis Parish Community in one or more of these positions. Training is offered. Also, if you know of a weekend(s) you are unable to serve in your ministry, please call Mary Margaret at the parish office (715-398-7174).


ST. FRANCIS PARISH COUNCIL met recently. Copies of the minutes can be found on our website: www.stfrancisxaviersuperior.com.

ST. FRANCIS SOCIAL ACTION COMMITTEE is once again collecting school supplies. There is a bin in the gathering space of the church for your donations of crayons, pens, pencils, backpacks, notebooks, etc. Thank you!


PICTORIAL DIRECTORY- LOOKING AHEAD The following dates are scheduled for photo taking for our directory – November 15,16, 17, 18 & 19. We are hoping to have a large participation within our parish. There will be more information included in upcoming bulletins about this exciting project! If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Sue at 715-398-6787.


CATHEDRAL SCHOOL has the following positions available for the upcoming 2022/2023 school year: EARLY CHILDHOOD, MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCIAL STUDIES, K-8 MUSIC AND 5-8 BAND. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, faith-filled teacher. Interested candidates should be knowledgeable in instructional practices and able to differentiate instruction to meet a variety of learning styles. To apply please visit https://wecan.wspa.org. Cathedral School also has needs for school aides, hot lunch, and librarian positions available for the upcoming school year. ST. WILLIAMS PARISH HAM & MEATLOAF DINNER is planned for Sunday, September 11th from 11:30 AM until 4:00 PM. The menu will include ham, meatloaf, potatoes & gravy, buttered carrots, coleslaw, pickles, rolls, coffee, and dessert. Cost I $12 for adults, $5 for children 12 years of age and preschoolers are free. Take-out dinners will be available. There will be a bake sale, country garden marker and silent auction.
