St. Francis Xavier Altar Society Minutes From February 5, 2026

The Altar Society meets the first Thursday of the month in the Parish Hall, September – May.

All parishioners are welcome.

Officers:

Kathy Johnson - Secretary

Judy Kuehn - Treasurer

The meeting was opened by Arlene with a prayer.

Secretary minutes: Kathy Johnson.

Minutes accepted by Lori Frink with a second by Julie Kaluza

Treasurer report was given by Judy Kuehn. 

Checking: $1,678.89

Savings:         928.55

Balance:      2,607.44

Report was accepted by Terri Collins with a second from Lori Frink. 

Sunshine report was given by Lorie Frink. Four cards were sent out. 

Thanks were given to the hostesses, Betty Krysiak, Irene Hudacek and Clem Heinz. Also to raffle provider Angel Booth. 

SALAD BAR LUNCHEON 

We covered all things Salad Bar Luncheon. 

Raffle prize collection is good. 

Plenty of gift cards and raffle prizes. $891 collected thus far. 

Anne Melcher checked off a list of what needs to be done just checking to see if we have it all covered. We do!

Carolyn Sweeney went over kitchen help. She went over what jobs needed to be done. We have plenty of sign up help. 

Janet LeBard has decorations covered. Help if available. 

Phone calls will be made to parishioners for salads. 

Priests’ assembly will be March 22-24. Volunteers needed. 

Further business - 

• Request was made by Janet LeBard  for vases for the tables at funerals. 

• Lenten Soup and Supper March 1. 3:00 prayer and benediction followed by supper. Clean up help needed. 

• March 10 we will be washing the kneelers. This should be done a few times a year. 

March Hostesses will be Marilyn Johnson and Linda Bergstrom. Raffle prize will be covered for Janet Walroos. 

We ended the meeting with a prayer and enjoyed a light lunch.
