St. Francis Xavier Altar Society Minutes From APRIL 9, 2026

The Altar Society meets the first Thursday of the month in the Parish Hall, September – May. All parishioners are welcome.

The meeting was opened by Arlene with a prayer.

Sunshine report was given by Lorie Frink. Two sympathy cards and three get well cards were sent out. Thanks was given to April’s hostesses Mary Uhlenkott and Kathy Johnson. Thanks to Dorothy Johnson for providing the honey, made by her son, for the raffle prize. May meeting will be our baby shower. Arlene will check with Gail about where to bring the donations. She may be calling society members to volunteer. There will be no noon mass due to Father Jim’s being unavailable. Meeting will start at 1:00 with a lunch from Erbert and Gerbert’s. A motion was brought forward by Kathy Johnson to purchase electric can openers for the kitchen. The motion was second by Roma Myers. This will be passed on to Sue Kohler. Priests’ Assembly was successful and appreciated by all in attendance. Roast Beef Dinner served a record number of dinners. 906 dinners served.  514 in house 392 take outs. Soup Supper will be May 2nd. Roast beef sandwiches and well as soup will be served. Thanksgiving and Easter bread - We will check with Super One and Johnson’s bakery. We closed with a prayer and a light lunch.
