A thank you for her years of service as our treasurer was given to Betty Moe.

• The meeting was started with a prayer.

Secretary’s minutes were read by Kathy Johnson.  There was a motion to accept by Lori Fink.  This was seconded by Julie Kaluza.

Treasurer’s report was given, for the last time by Betty Moe. She gave a report for June, July and August.

• Beginning balance in August $8,413.69

• Ending balance in August $7,485.62 checking

                                                     $928.25 saving

                                        Total: $8,413.77

Treasurer’s report was accepted by Mary Jo Uhlenkott  with a second from Paulette White.

Sunshine report was given by Lori Fink.  Four cards were sent out since May.

A motion was made by Julie Kaluza to gift $4,000 to the church.  Father Jim was available to discuss the numerous uses for this gift.  A new hand railing is being installed.  Flameless candles for the high altar at Christmas.  Utilities. Insurance.  The motion was seconded by Janet Lebard.  We will leave it to Father Jim to decide where this gift would be most beneficial.

• Sign up and $5.00 dues were taken for membership in the altar society.  All members of the church are members, the $5.00 dues are for voting privileges.

Raffle prize today was donated by Kathy Johnson and won by Dorothy Johnson and Paulette White.

Sue Koehler will provide October's raffle prize.

Meeting raffle sign up was complete.  Meeting hostess sign up was passed around.

There will be an Altar Society membership drive after mass the weekend of September 13-14.  Betty Moe, Rose Ranthum and Sue Koehler will be taking lead on this.

• Trunk or treat Thursday October 30, 5-6:30 with pizza in the garden room after the little goblins are gone.

• The Cookie Stroll will be Saturday, Dec. 13.  Baking and decorating will be Thursday, Dec. 11.  Collecting will be Friday, Dec. 12.

• Salad Bar Luncheon will be Saturday, February 14.

• This and That Sale will be September 11 & 12 next year, 2026

Arlene shared a pattern for crocheted Teddy Bears for the nursing home project.

The meeting was closed with a prayer and a nice lunch.
