St. Francis Xavier Altar Society Minutes From January 8, 2026


The Altar Society meets the first Thursday of the month in the Parish Hall, September –

May. All parishioners are welcome.


Officers:


Arlene Osterlund – President


Mary Jo Uhlenkott – Vice President


Kathy Johnson - Secretary


Judy Kuehn - Treasurer



The meeting was opened by Arlene with a prayer.


Secretary minutes: Kathy Johnson.


Minutes accepted by Ann Melcher with a second by Carolyn Sweeney



Treasurer report was given by Judy Kuehn.


Checking: $4838.97


Savings:          928.47


Balance:       5,867.44


Report was accepted by Lori Frink with a second from Marcia Anderson


Sunshine report was given by Lorie Frink. Christmas cards were sent out to shut ins.


SALAD BAR LUNCHEON


Carolyn had sign up sheets for kitchen help. Help needed Thursdays February 12,13, & 14.


Ann Melcher gave details about the sale.

Under 5 no charge


Raffle tickets were mailed to all parishioners by Gail Erdman. Dates on tickets and letter were wrong. Corrected date will be mentioned in church


Door prizes will be ordered be Debbie Munch and shipped to Ann.


Sign ups for salads will go in the back of the church. Phone calls will also be made.


Altar Society will provide the dessert.


Altar society will provide prizes with a value of $25.



COOKIE STROLL RECAP


$3694.00 was made the weekend of the cookie stroll. More money came in after (forgot amount 😌)


We had 188 trays of cookies. 200 containers went out. Two extra tables were added


Next year extras will be sold after mass at 1/2 price.


Angel will order tray covers next year to be used instead of cling wrap.


It was voted on to donate $3000.00 from the Altar Society to the church.


Sue Kohler will get a nomination committee together for next year’s elections of president and secretary.


Thanks to hostesses Marcia Anderson, Lorie Frink and Roma Myers. It was delicious especially the dip.


Raffle prize was provided by Judy Kuehn.


We closed the new as always with a prayer 🙏
