St. Francis Xavier Altar Society Minutes From May 7, 2026.
The Altar Society meets the first Thursday of the month in the Parish Hall, September – May.All parishioners are welcome.

The meeting was opened by Arlene with a prayer.Secretary minutes:Â Kathy Johnson.Minutes accepted by Terri Collins with a second by Marcia Anderson.Â
Treasurer’s report: Judy Kuehn Checking: $3,337.90Savings:    928.78Total:      4,266.68
Report accepted by Ann Marie Carlson with a second by Terri Collins.Â
Sunshine report was given by Arlene in Lorie Frink’s absence. One sympathy card sent out.Â
Thanks was given to Mary Jo Uhlenkott for the raffle prizes.
The raffle was won by Ann Melcher and Kathy Johnson.Â
SOUP SUPPER: Janet LeBard stated we served around 60 people. This is more than usual. Janet also gave a heart felt thank you to all who helped not only with the soup supper but with everything. She made some delicious pumpkin bars as a thank you.Â
THIS & THAT SALE: The sale will be September 11 & 12. Sign up sheet for setting up and working were passed out by Paulette White. Paulette also passed out sign up sheets for next year’s raffles and lunches.Â
Gifts from our baby shower were delivered by Maureen Josephson, Rose Ranthum, Gail Erdman, and Arlene Osterlund. The gifts were divided between four different places: Head start, Lake Superior Life Center and two different Harbor House Locations.Â
The Altar Society photos have been framed. Thank you Arlene.Â
Plastic dish washer racks were purchased by Donna Stubbe. A thank you note was sent to Donna.Â
Electric can openers were ordered by Sue Kohler and have been delivered. Thank you Sue for taking this on.Â
September meet and greet will not take place this year. We will provide calendars.Â
When we meet in September we will talk about how often to clean the kneelers.Â
A motion was presented to purchase three new tables for the church. Ann Melcher approved the motion with a second from Darlene Lindberg.Â
The closing prayer was Grace before our lunch from Erbert and Gerbert. Next meeting in September.Â
