“RAISE US UP” CAMPAIGN UPDATE – GREAT NEWS! Construction is in progress on the new elevator and parish hall renovation! With God’s help the entire project will be completed by late October. Please keep in mind:

- Daily Mass will be held in the Garden Room (5th Street side of building).

- The 4th Street Parish Hall Entrance and the 24th Ave E Avenue side entrance are temporarily closed. Please use other entrances to the facility.

- Parish hall bathrooms are under construction and temporarily closed. Please use available restrooms behind the kitchen area. Please follow the signs in the hall to the bathrooms.

- We reached our fund raising goal in pledges!! Our goal was $450,000. A reminder to please continue your payments on pledges. Payment envelopes are available in the blue baskets in the gathering space of the church.

CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL Thank you for filling out a Catholic Services Appeal Envelope. For those who did not fill one out, please do so before you leave church today. No gift is too small, and our parish is trying to reach 100% participation. By making your gift today you can save a volunteer from having to call you saving time and expense. We have raised $6,430.00 toward our CSA goal. There are many challenges facing us today. The responsibility our parish has to help provide diocesan and services and ministries such as support for vocations and education of seminarians in an answer to that challenge.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION SCHEDULE & INFORMATION:

REGISTRATION GRADES K-5 will be held in the parish hall this weekend following all Masses. Classes begin on Sunday, October 7th at 9:15 AM until 10:15 AM. A parents’ meeting will take place at 9:30 AM in the parish hall. Coffee/rolls served.

Wednesday, September 26th Catechist Workshop: Sister Pauline Micke, CSS, will present from 7-9 PM “Thresholds: Our Whole Journey is About Mission”

Please note: We are in need of a 9th grade teacher and aide for the 9th grade. Please consider volunteering in one of these positions. Call Ernie for more information at 715-398-7175.

Wednesday, October 10th Opening night for middle and high school students begins at 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM in the parish hall. “DARE 2 MOVE”

CATHEDRAL SCHOOL NEWS There are employment opportunities for a middle school science teacher, preschool aides and a preschool teacher. Please send a cover letter and resume to Mrs. Jaime Samarziya at 1419 Baxter Avenue, Superior, WI or email to j.samarziya@superiorcathedralschool.org. Applications will be accepted until filled. We are also in need of substitute teachers. Cathedral School continues to collect Box Tops for Education, Milk Moola Program, plastic covers from milk, juice jugs of any size, Coke Rewards, aluminum cans and Loaves for Learning.

SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT dePAUL Members of the society invite you to share in their ministry of experiencing God in serving people in poverty. We will be speaking at Masses this weekend inviting you to consider membership. We welcome Patser and Ed Lynch, Lynn Brice and Gretchen Olson as our guest speakers. Everyone is welcome to attend an hour-long “Invitation to Learn” gathering on Tuesday, September 25th at 6 PM at the Catholic Charities Building, 1416 Cumming Avenue to learn how you might become a part of the society.

ST. ANTHONY MEATBALL DINNER will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd from 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM in the parish hall. (4315 E. 3rd Street) Menu includes meatballs, mashed potatoes/gravy, vegetable, dessert and beverage. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. The hall is handicapped accessible. All are welcome!
