EXPRESSIONS OF DISCIPLESHIP – 2019/20 CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL
begins this week in our parish. The appeal is an opportunity for us, as a faith family to join together to do the work of the Lord. All families are encouraged to support the CSA. By giving to the CSA you are answering God’s call to discipleship to put the work of God before your own needs. The Church serves each of us in some way and our financial support is needed to continue God’s work in our area. In addition, every dollar contributed to the appeal assists our parish in off-setting our yearly diocesan assessment responsibility to our Diocesan Church. This year our goal is $51,346.00.

CATHEDRAL SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT
Cathedral school is a vibrant pre K-8th grade school that provides a learning environment where students can develop their full potential academically, socially and spiritually. A long standing tradition in Superior, Wisconsin, our school built in 1950 serves the Roman Catholic Parishes of Cathedral of Christ the King,
St. Francis Xavier, Holy Assumption, St. Anthony along with St. Anthony in Lake Nebagamon and St. William in Foxboro and surrounding communities. Open to students of all faiths, Cathedral School fosters the role of the family as we work together to facilitate a well-rounded Catholic education that elevates academic excellence, promotes community service and empowers the students through the Fruits of the Holy Spirit to follow the example and teachings of Christ.

ST. FRANCIS PARISH PRAYER MINISTRY +
DO YOU HAVE A NEED FOR PRAYER FOR YOURSELF OR A LOVED ONE?
NO REQUEST IS TOO SMALL.
CALL THE PARISH PRAYER MINISTRY AND A NETWORK OF PRAYERS WILL BE OFFERED FOR YOU INTENTION(S).
A pastor was called to a local nursing home to perform a wedding. An anxious old man met him at the door. The pastor sat down to counsel the man and asked him several questions:
Pastor: Old Man:
Do you love her? Nope
Is she a good Christian woman? I don’t know.
Does she have lots of money? I doubt it.
Then why are you marrying her? Because she can drive at night.
