As we celebrate Mass again in the parish, please be reminded that we practice social distancing in the church and that many pews are roped off so as to limit seating capacity. We now have seating for about 125, but the average attendance at a weekend Mass is about 50. Masks are worn in the building and hand sanitizer is amply available. You are encouraged to return to Mass as you are able. Should you feel uncomfortable at a weekend liturgy, please consider attending a daily Mass – the schedule is in the bulletin. Attendance at daily Mass is 10-15 people.
CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL – SEPTEMBER 19-20, 2020
This year has certainly proven to be one of the most extraordinary and challenging times we have faced in our life. We need only to look around us to see how desperately our world needs the Church today. This year, our goal for our parish is $50,838 ($508 less than last year) and we are asking for your support. A video presentation will take place here in our parish the weekend of September 19-20 at all Masses. All parishioners throughout the Diocese of Superior will also receive a mailing from Bishop Powers. No gift is too small. Thank you for you continuing generosity!
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION INFORMATION
In order to help plan for the upcoming education classes, we will have registration for grades K-5 the weekend of September 19-20 in the parish hall following all Masses. Classes begin for grades K-5 on Sunday, October 4th at 9:15 AM. A parents meeting will be held in the parish hall at 9:30 AM. This year we are attempting to hold in-person classes as much as possible. We are in need of teachers and aides for grades 7, 8 and 10. Please contact Ernie at 715-394-6489 or at the parish at 715-398-7174. A two-part catechist workshop will be held on September 16th and 23rd in the Garden Room beginning at 7 PM. The opening night for grades 6, 7, and 8 is Wednesday, October 9th at 6 PM. Grades 9, 10 and 11 will meet at 7:15 PM. There will be a parents’ meeting and a Prayer Service.
