OUR PENITENTIAL CANDLE Bishop Powers has asked all of our churches to burn a candle in the sanctuary to signify penance and care for those abused in any way by the church. Our candle is now burning on the side Marian Altar. We continue to pray for all victims of clergy
OUR NEW WINDOWS The nine exterior windows on the 4th Street side of the church have been totally replaced. The old wooden frames had completely deteriorated due to weather conditions and time. (Last winter during a snowstorm the “Mary Window” over the vigil light stand was boarded up to save the stained glass beneath it.) The cost of the nine new windows is about $100,000. We used parish savings to pay this invoice so there will not be a special fund drive for the project. Take a drive or walk down 4th Street and see our beautiful new windows!
SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING will take place next weekend, November 10-11 following all Masses. Anyone wishing to be anointed should gather in the front pews following Mass.
“RAISE US UP” CAMPAIGN UPDATE With God’s help the entire project will be completed by late October. We reached our fund raising goal in pledges!! Our goal was $450,000. A reminder to please continue your payments on pledges. Payment envelopes are available in the blue baskets in the gathering space of the church.
CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL Thank you for filling out a Catholic Services Appeal
Envelope. For those who did not fill one out, please do so before you leave church today. No gift is too small, and our parish is trying to reach 100% participation. Thus far we have received $18,765 in pledges toward our goal of $51,480. By making your gift today you can save a volunteer from having to call you saving time and expense.
