We plan to make one available to our parishioners each month of the year. Please take this home and read it at your leisure. There are many informative articles. We encourage you to share with your family.

COMING SOON! ST. FRANCIS XAVIER ALL-SCHOOL REUNION is being planned for August 3, 2019 here in our parish church and parish hall. There is no fee, no registration or RSVP. Simply plan to attend. The schedule is as follows:

2:30 PM Prayer of the Rosary 3:00 - 4:00 PM - Favorite Hymns

4:00 PM Mass 5:00 PM – “Hot Lunch”

9:00 PM Celebration continues – place to be announced.

SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT dePAUL Our volunteers visited people in 65 homes and 164 office visits. Over $8000 was given out in food, clothing and household goods. Thank you for your continued prayers, volunteer hours and financial support. You are welcome to join us at out next meeting on Tuesday, July 23rd at 6 PM at the Catholic Charities Building, 1416 Cumming Avenue.

BLESSED SOLANUS CASEY You are invited on Tuesday evening, July 30th in Kress Hall at the Cathedral of Christ the King for “The Porter’s Potluck.” The evening will include a meal, presentation and time of prayer to celebrate the memorial of Blessed Solanus Casey. Following the meal seminarian Dan Tracy will give a presentation on Fr. Solanus. Dan’s presentation will be an opportunity for prayer and a blessing with a relic of the True Cross. A relic of Blessed Solanus will be available for veneration. All are welcome.

CATHEDRAL SCHOOL NEWS We are currently looking for a few positions for the upcoming 2019-20 school year. These positions include a Middle School Science Teacher and Middle School Social Studies teacher. These are half-time positions but could be combined to a full-time position. We are also looking for a Hot Lunch Coordinator (29 hours weekly) for the upcoming 2019-20 school year. Teaching position applications will be accepted until July 12 and the hot lunch coordinator position will be held until position is filled. Cathedral School registration has begun for grades K-8. SINGLE CATHOLIC SUMMER RETREAT Looking for more Catholic community and spiritual enrichment? Join like-minded single Catholics, from all over the country, at an upcoming retreat near Chicago, IL. July 26-28, 2019. Fr. Thomas Loya and Jim Martini will be presenting on the theme of “Remaining Relational in an Unrelational World.” The weekend will also include music, time for reflection, Mass, fellowship and more.
