SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DePAUL
By all reports this is becoming a record-breaking month for homelessness in the Twin Ports. Whatever the cause – lack of affordable housing, unemployment, drug abuse, mental illness – people are struggling to find shelter. There have been COVID-19 government resources to shelter those who are homeless but locally these monies have nearly depleted. Our society will assist as we can to provide shelter. If you have any camping supplies to donate (tents, sleeping bags) please call us at 715-398-4039. Pray that together we can impact the causes of homelessness in our community and pray for those who lack this basic human need.
ST. VINCENT dePAUL FOOD SHELF
The Cathedral of Christ the King will resume its food collection the third weekend of each month beginning July 18-19. The Society continues to deliver food to those in need. We are especially in need of foods that need no preparation or can be heated in a microwave for those who are living in vehicles or tents or staying in a motel. If you know of someone please leave a message at the above number.
Congratulations to Chris & Alissa Nye whose daughter,
+ Adalee Marie, was baptized on July 12, 2020.
Adalee’s godparents are Kyle A. Olson & Kerri L. Bushman

A PRAYER FOR LIFE
Father and maker of all, you adorn all creation with splendor and beauty,
And fashion human lives in your image and likeness.
Awaken in every heart reverence for the work of your hands,
And renew among your people a readiness to nurture and sustain
your precious gift of life.
Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God,
for ever and ever.
