58TH ANNUAL SALAD BAR LUNCHEON – FEBRUARY 9 – NOON
The menu will feature a variety of homemade salads, hot German potato salad, bread, dessert and a beverage. Tickets are $9 for adults, $6 for children ages 6-12 and children under age 5 are free.
There will be door prizes as well as the annual raffle drawings.
NOTE: In the gathering space in the back of the church you will find a sign-up sheet. Please sign up to bring a salad, donate a gift card (or 2), or help the day of the luncheon. BLESSING OF THROATS St. Blaise, Bishop and Martyr, is the patron of those with throat diseases. In celebration of his feast day Father Jim will bless throats after all Masses this weekend . Please remain after the liturgy for a blessing.
ST. FRANCIS ALTAR SOCIETY will meet on Thursday, February 7th at 1 PM in the Garden Room. All ladies of the parish are welcome! Hostesses for the afternoon will be Ann Melcher and Betty Moe.

CATHEDRAL SCHOOL NEWS There are currently openings for preschool part time aides and substitute teachers. Please remember to save all General Mills boxtops, Milk Moola (will end on March 22nd) plastic covers from milk jugs of all sizes. orange juice, juice drinks, ice cream and tops of plastic milk bags. We also collect Coke Rewards, aluminum cans and Loaves for Learning. There is a container in the gathering space of our church for your donations.
GARBAGE OMELET BREAKFAST sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Council 7106 is planned for Sunday, February 10th, 8 AM – 1 PM in the Holy Assumption Church Hall. Cost is $8 for adults and children 12 and under are $5.00. All are welcome!
SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT dePAUL Our society was contacted by 354 households during the months of October through December. We distributed $23,000 in financial assistance, the majority for housing assistance. We provided an estimated $5,700 in clothing, $2,500 in household goods and $3,300 in food. God Bless You for your generosity! Our next meeting is on Tuesday, February 12th at 6 PM at the Catholic Charities Building, 2416 Cumming Avenue. Join us!
KC COUNCIL 499 meet on Tuesday, February 5th at St. Anthony Parish, Superior. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 6:30 PM with the business meeting beginning at 7:00 PM.
