ADVENT NEWS This weekend you will find an Advent Calendar with your bulletin with Scripture Readings on one side and our parish December Calendar on the reverse side. Please take the calendar home for prayer during this holy season.
CHRISTMAS FLOWERS There is an envelope attached to your bulletin this week in which to place your donation of $10 or more to purchase a plant in memory of a loved one(s).
2020 CALENDARS have arrived and are available in the gathering space of the church. Please take one home for yourself and any others who you think would like one.
OPLATKE CHRISTMAS WAFER can be found on the side altar. If you use this as part of your Christmas Celebrations please take some home. There are four wafers in each packet.
ST. FRANCIS PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL will meet on Tuesday, December 3rd at 4:30 PM in the Garden Room. Parishioners are always welcome.
ST. FRANCIS ALTAR SOCIETY will meet on Thursday, December 5th at 1 PM in the Garden Room. Hostesses for the afternoon will be Gerrie Copiskey & Sue Koehler. All women of the parish are welcome.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NOTES
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 3 Adult Bible Study at 9:30 AM
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4 Class for 6-8 at 6 PM/9-11 at 7:15 PM
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7 Middle School students will ring bells for the Salvation Army from noon – 2 PM at the East End Super One.
ADVENT RETREAT is planned for Sunday, December 8th beginning with a Prayer Service at 5:30 PM followed by dinner and a presentation by Fr. Inna of the Cathedral Cluster. He will speak on the Season of Advent. There is no charge. There is a sign-up sheet in the gathering area of the church. Confirmation students are asked to attend. 9TH ANNUAL COOKIE STROLL – SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7TH - 9 AM – 1 PM
All are invited to purchase our cookies, bread and candies for sale!
The cookies will be $7 per pound – candy and breads will be priced separately.
Anyone interested in decorating or baking cookies for the upcoming cookie stroll is invited to the parish hall on Thursday, December 5th from 9 AM – 2 PM. Please bring your cookie dough ready to bake or cookies ready to decorate and any special materials to make your cookies the best ever! Please call Arlene at 715-392-5876.
CHRISTMAS DÉCOR FOR SALE During the Cookie Stroll there will be a large assortment of Christmas and Holiday Décor for sale! If you have any holiday décor in good condition please consider donating it to the sale. Items can be brought to the parish office Monday-Thursday 8 AM – 4 PM or Friday from 8 AM – 3:30 PM.

AN ITEM OF IMPORTANCE When you have a family member or friend who is hospitalized and would like a visit from Fr. Jim, please call the parish office. Due to the privacy laws the hospitals can no longer call the parish. Thank you.
ITALIAN BUFFET – SATURDAY 12/7 – 5:30-8:00 PM will be held at the College of St. Scholastica, Somer’s Lounge. Cost is $10 per person. Proceeds will help Sr. Gaudensia, OSB, from Tanzania to purchase a bus for the children she serves. Sister will be present to provide information on her school.
SUPERIOR CATHOLICS YOUTH GROUP will be serving with St. Vincent DePaul this year. Meet in Kress Hall to sort and prepare Christmas presents for those families in need throughout our community. Gifts are donated through the Cathedral School and delivered on December 14th. The schedule for the event is: 11 AM – Noon – sort gifts; Noon – 12:30 PM – Lunch will be provided and followed by gift delivery at 12L30 PM. (This is optional. Participants will be chaperoned by Youth Group Parents and members of St. Vincent DePaul. Please contact Virginia at 952-300-1671 to RSVP or with any questions on getting involved with our Youth Group!
