FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT– APRIL 7, 2019

This week on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, we welcome Bishop Powers and the priests of our diocese. Special thanks to the Altar Society for preparing and serving the receptions.

On Monday morning at 8 AM in our church, Bishop Powers will be offering Mass with the priests and all are welcome to attend.

EASTER FLOWERS If you wish to donate $10 or more in memory of a loved one(s) toward our floral decorations for Easter, please pick up an envelope in the gathering space and either drop it in the collection basket or mail it to the parish office. All flower requests should be in the office by APRIL 8TH.

MASS INTENTIONS Masses are available for anyone who would like to remember a loved one who has passed, the health and welfare of someone in need, or your private special intention. Please call the parish office at 715-398-7174 or place an envelope in the collection basket with your intention included. Mass intention is $10.

SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT dePAUL Thank you to our Minnie Vinnies who collected over $300. in two hours at a local business. These monies will be used to pay for a night of shelter for homeless families. Our next meeting is on Tuesday, April 9th at 6 PM at Catholic Charities, 1416 Cumming Avenue. There are envelopes in the gathering space of our church if you wish to make a monetary donation to the society.

CATHEDRAL SCHOOL NEWS State of the School Address is Thursday, April 11th from 5:30 to 6:30 PM in room 305. / Come and learn about school budget, successes and challenges this past year, goals for the New Year and learn about programming and volunteer opportunities. Pre-school registration is now open. Cathedral School offers a 3 and 4 year old program. Please contact Amanda Schnell at 715-392-3900 or a.schnell@superiorcathedralschool.org. The first graders are continuing to collect pop tops to help Shriners Hospital purchase children’s wheelchairs. There is a collection container on first floor near room 100 and in the 1st grade classroom, room 206. CHASA participates in several programs which generate money for our school. Box Tops for Education is sponsored by General Mills. These tops can be found on several products including food, household items, tableware, office supplies and bakeware. Thank you for your support!

FIESTA deMAYO TACO DINNER will be served at Holy Assumption Church, 5601 Tower Avenue on Wednesday, May 1st, 4:30-7:00 PM. The menu includes 3 hard shell or 2 eight inch shell tacos will all the fixings, Mexican rice, refried beans, chips & salsa, beverage and cookies. All for $7 – ages 10 and under $5. Additional tacos are $2.50 each. Take-outs are available by calling 715-394-7919.
